Superimposed on the Haslam map are markers for typical MWA radio sources, constellation figures, and circles representing the Sun (yellow), Moon (gray), Venus (small cyan), Mars (small red), Jupiter (large cyan), and Saturn (blue). The blue dots represent bright sources found in the GLEAM survey.
Contour maps on the image show the current position that the MWA telescope is 'pointed', in green if the telescope is currently capturing data, and white otherwise. These contour lines show the 10%, 50% and 90% power boundaries, labelled 0.1, 0.5 and 0.9. The black contour lines show the 'nulls' - areas on the sky where there is essentially zero sensitivity.
